Got this fella from Joe a few days ago and thought I would share it with you folks. It's 37 1/2 iches long with a W-2 head. The haft is made from Beef Wood. There are 3 attachments that screw into the end to use on ice, mud or snow. And rubber tip that slides over the end for indoors. Gettin' photos of it in my home made light tent was a bit of a challenge so please bear with me.

that looks awesome and would be a amazing tool in the woods. i would like to have one for when i walk the dogs. if you don't mind me asking what did it run you

Very cool! Great that it can be used as a walking stick in a few different conditions, snow/ice/indoors. If you test it out in the chopping department, please post on here. Not sure if the using the full length is doable or if chocking up a little would be better. Beautiful piece regardless. Congrats!

grunt soldier,

This maker is one of the top hawk guys in the world so his work commands very high prices. I expect that many of his pieces get collected rather than used.

A few years ago he collaborated on a hawk and knife set with Ed Fowler. Wish I'd had the money. But I probably wouldn't be using the set....

[Just kidding---I'll look forward to seeing it.]

This is pretty much what the Fowler / Szilaski set looks like. A lot of detail is hard to see with the downsized photo but you can make out most of it. The wood case that they live in is nothing short of incredible as well. The hatchet is close to 18 inches so you can kind of figure from there. The eagle heads are all hand carved deep relief. Not just engraved. I have used the hatchet but haven't used the knives as of yet. All steel is 52100 with Ed and Joe's stamps.

A Coop photo of Joe's rendition of a Riflemans gear from the French and Indian War period.

Yeah, there is a ton of work in all of Joe's stuff and it starts with being a sturdy, tuff and dependable tool with a very usable design. The art work comes after. Glad you guys like 'em.
