Hey guys,

Just played with a lone harsey t-2, it was an overall amazing knife.

I had never heard of them till playing with one of them today and then reading some of the reviews of the bigger model...I personally have a benchmade 940 that I love, but the t-2 will probably be my next EDC....the handle feels amazing and the blade was scary sharp.

Is this knife not liked to well by forum members or is it relatively an unknown?

I wish I had heard a lil bit more about this knife I really think it's a great knife from the limited time i had to spend with it today.

D

It is known, but not as well known as a Spyderco or Benchmade. i want one.

I'm too tired to do my act right now...

Suffice to say, I've EDCed mine for a year and a half now, and it's the best folding knife I've had. light, sharp, durable, holds an edge, comfortable handle, well designed, attractive, etc.

I put it through hell and back last construction season, and it's still going strong.

(I've bragged about it in most every other T-2 thread on the forum):o

It's pretty much removed me from the folding knife market.

It's a beautiful knife for sure however, the tip-down non-ambidextrous clip limits its ease of carry. With an ambidextrous thumb stud, one would think it only logical to provide an ambidextrous or multi-way clip mount. This is the reason that I have refrained from buying one. Too bad, because otherwise I like every thing about the knife. Of course for those that use a sheath or, prefer the tip-down carry this will not be an issue.

Although there are many beautiful and well designed/built fixed blade knives being built today, the Harsey designed Neil Roberts is easily one of my favorite fixed blade knives. This is of course a purely subjective opinion, but that's the way I see it. If the T-2 had a multi-mount clip, like the NR it would be knocking on the door of perfection.

I like T2, too and someday'll get one. Its scales are a bit cheap (and I don't need wooden ones). SLippery Ti thumbstud. Blade just awesome.

I owned one and Traded it(ended up with an SNG) it was a great knife I had the coccobolo scales. The problem was I already had so many edc's that fit the bill, including sebenza's. For the price and what it is its a fantastic knife in S30V and the handle holds very well. I would own another one in a heartbeat. It is a great knife it just didnt hold up to the draw of some other knives I wanted.

It's just too large fore me and I don't like that it only comes with "plastic" scales. Too expensive for "plastic" scales.

It doesn't just come in plastic scales anymore. There are choices of wood scales now also.
There was also a thread a few months back where Chase of Chax knives said he can put custom micarta slabs on. I have a T2 in walnut and just got it back from Lone Wolf for some minor repair. Love the knife, goes with me everywhere. Pick one up and you will not regret it.

I've been eyeing one for the last little while. Target Knives/Rowland got in 3 models, I think. The base one, pluse cocobolo and one other. This is one, for me, I think that one has to pick up and fondle first to appreciate it, but that's just me:) I'm typically not a big knife user (I do have a bunch in my collection, though), and I sort of have to mentally justify it. It took me a couple of years to get my Al Mar SERE 2K and I don't use it all that much, but I sure regretted not buying it sooner. So......maybe, I just bite the bullet and get one next time I'm there. The cocobolo one winked at me:D I was good though, I didn't pick it up:)
