Hey guys, tried something pretty wild the past couple of days. I looked through an old tsukamaki book, and found a wrap style (Naka Biku Maki) that was simple, and different than anything I've seen. This is my version of this style. The cord I had dyed turned a puke green, and I just couldn't help but think of zombies while working with it. I just went with a Zombie theme with this one. The intention with the blade was to make it appear to be decayed and diseased. I used white vinegar and yellow mustard for this effect.
The blade is chisel ground, and sharp as a razorblade. I'm currently making a kydex sheath for this one. Steel is 1/8 thick 1095 from Aldo. Peters Heat treat 60rc.
