t440v

Never heard of t440V. Are you talking about a blade steel?

It seems it's another name for S60V aka 440V. I couldn't find anything specific in my quick search as to what the T might refer to.

I have a steel composition app.....it says its just another name for S60V.

S60V

C: 2.15; V: 5.50; Cr: 17.00; Mo: 0.40; Mn: 0.40; P: ?; S: ?; Si: 0.40;

Maker - Crucible

Notes:
S60V - Now discontinued. Highly wear and stain resistant steel. Not that easy to put a sharp edge on it though. Base for this alloy was AISI 440C steel with added Carbon and Vanadium.

Cross-References:
Known Aliases:
CPM 440V
CPM S60V
CPM-T-440V
T440V

The app is called "knife steel composition chart"
