T6 spacer problem

My guess is something was caught inside the barrel spacer. Maybe some dried thread locker or debris or even a piece of metal thread from the screw or barrel spacer. Now things are jammed up. Don’t try ti tighten them more, in just jamming things up worse.

I would try to get some lubrication into the area if you can. Use a penetrating oil of some kind to aid in the removal.

*Be careful to not strip the heads of the screws.*
 
Thanks for this. I didn't think of that..? Definitely sounds like a promising idea. I'll do what you say and soak the spacer and the two screws in wd40 and leave it overnight. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. 🤝
