T9 Stainless

T9 may mean T9MO made by French steel manufacturer Bonpertuis that has specialized in manufacturing cutlery steels. T9Mo: 0,9 C; 18 Cr; 1 Mo; 0,1 V. They make also T7MO, T6MoV...

Thanks guys, I saw this steel on a site that catered to knives from the Finland area. There was carbon steel and they called the stainless T9.

To me, T9 Stainless is Kahr Arms latest offering... a very nice medium-frame Stainless 9mm automatic sporting a 4" Barrel, nice sights, and sexy pau ferro Hogue wood grips...

but that's probably not what you were asking :D

YC, you just hit on my other passion, pistols. Yes, I like the Kahr line of pistols too!!!!

Hehe, yeah, Walt.

I forsee at least 2 Kahrs in my gun locker in the near future.

Meanwhile I'm wishing they'll make a T40 (not a big fan of 9mm, it aint terrible, just don't love it, would much prefer a .40, especially in that frame-size)

Try a SIG 229 in .40. It is a great gun that will never fail you and it is a very nice mid size and carries comfortable.;)

SkagSIG,

Yeah, been thinking about a 229 to complement the 226 I already own, but my next SIG will definetely have to be a 220, as it's single-stack ergonomics blew me away when I checked it out... (and I dig .45!).
But I do really like the SIG System.

If I buy a Kahr it will be for concealed carry, back up and off duty type use. I have a couple of custom 1911's, 45 cal. I usually carry one of these on duty and a couple of knives.

Maybe I got rid of all the typo's!!!

Walt,

wish my dept allowed 1911-A1s for carry... unfortunately the issue around here is Glocks (which aren't bad, don't get me wrong, just maybe not as nice as a good custom M1911-A1 in the duty holster :D).

Anywho, if I make Investigator I can carry a SIG (or most any other conventional double-action auto) on duty aswell.

Meantime, my personal choice carry guns will have to be limited to off-duty :grumpy:

You know how it is...

YC I was told today by a firearms dealer that Kahr does make a 40 cal. pistol. The P40. Recoil is supposed to be wicked.

Actually Kahr makes five .40s including:

K40
K40 Covert
MK40
P40
P40 Covert

However none of these are T9 sized. I like the T9 because instead of being a compact or subcompact like the other Kahrs, it is a medium frame (I have large hands), while still retaining Kahr's best concealability trait: thinness.

As such, I am waiting in great suspense for a T40, which would be exactly like a T9, 'cept in .40 (and all the very minor modifications implied with that.)

I am also somewhat eagerly anticipating the K45, but I am concerned that too much will be sacrificed in the way of thinness to bump up to .45ACP power (don't get me wrong, I love .45ACP, my favorite pistol cartridge, but it IS thick.)

Guess we'll see...

As for recoil being "Wicked" on the P40, I guess that's a pretty subjective thing, I've heard that it's lively but manageable.
