Just a question for makers and buyers. What type of table cover do you like to see on a maker's table at a show? I was going to use a tanned deer hide but figured that some people wouldn't want to see that.

To be truthful, I rarely ever notice. I have seen a few that cover the table and hang down the front an back that have a full length zipper that will zip up your knives inside it. Those are pretty slick.

I don't even see the makers' face at knife shows....

I keep looking down, but what I usually see are sharp shiny objects that cost too much $$ for me to boot. Never notice the table cover.

Ultimately, the knives have to talk for themselves, of course. But, setting the stage helps. Presentation is important. How you present your knives tells me what you think of 'em and, therefore, what I should think of 'em. If you just sort of carelessly toss them out on a bare table, then it's obvious that you don't care much about 'em... and neither should I. It doesn't cost much or take much time to put some sort of a covering on the table. What to use depends on the style of the knives. For hunting knives, a deerskin may be just the thing. For fancy art knives, however, deerskin would probably not be appropriate.

Bama, I think the deerskin would look mite fine.
You make beautiful users and I think the flow would be good with the deerskin.

You should make a sample presentation and post a pic here :)
