If you access Tac-chat through your web-browser at http://www.betactical.com/BETchat.html this change will not effect you because the server change is entirely automatic and everything will still look and operate in the same way in which you are already familiar. But if you access Tac-chat through MIRC/IRCN then please make note that you need to do the following in order to access Tac-chat;
(Tac-chat is now via EfNet)
Recommended servers are:
/server irc.plur.net
/server irc.ins.net.uk
Then simply join our channel:
/j #betactical
This change was necessary in order to allow many of our European/Global Usual Suspects to access more reliably. This change should not effect previous reliability for State-side Usual Suspects.
Thanks guys. If you have any questions or problems just e-mail me.
Hey John, when is our next Tac-chat anyhow? DavidT has been posting like crazy all night and we could've probably talked him into a chat tonight.

I was there right before 2100 tonight, no one was there. Worked called and I had to leave.

I'll do my best to be there, John! This thesis is kicking my ass...

BTW, the server that we've switched to "efnet" has more users than our previous server "webair". I've already received a couple of e-mails from Usual Suspects telling me that they receive a message saying "Connection Closed" when they try to log-on. This simply means that the name you chose to log-on with is already in use by someone else on efnet, so all you have to do to log-on is choose another variation of your chosen name. For instance if my name "Eric" is already in use, I'll try adding a character or number to my name such as "Eric^" or "~Eric~" or "[Eric]" or "Eric34", etc. Try those types of variations and you'll be able to easily log-on.
