TAC handle slabs (SJ and BATAC different?)

Hi, Guys!

Quick question: Are the TAC handles on the BATAC the same as the ones on the SJTAC? They look like it, just from eyeballing. In theory, are we able to swap one knife's handle slabs for the other (assuming there aren't individual differences)?

Thanks!

Sounds like it would work.. TAC handles are TAC handles..

Yea and fusion handles are fusion handles but not all are the same.

Try swapping the slabs on a MOAB with the slabs on a FSH, dont think it will work. But it might I dont really know.

Just like I dont know if the slabs on a SJTAC will swap out with slabs on a BATAC:confused::o:)

Yes theres a difference, theres a difference on handles from the same model. I had two SJTacs I switched handles on and adjustments had to be made.

Speaking of handles, the handle shape on the SJTAC I'm getting (only seen it in photos so far) looks similar to the handle on my NMSFNO. Is the handle itself pretty close in size, or is the SJTAC shorter?

Unless the NMSFNO has a different SF handle than the routine ones, they are not enough alike to allow a swap without some significant grinder work.

Here is a photo with a TAC handled NARK and the SF handled Force One:

See how the profiles are different? The TAC has a much more pronounced belly in the middle of the grip and the SF drops away more to the rear.

As far as TAC handle interchangeability, look at this shot of a NARK, BATAC, and SJT(Variant):

Minor variations may require some fitting, but nothing like the above differences.
