tackle storage?

I am fortunate to be able to fish different water with different tackle. Over the years I have developed various systems that work well for most of my fishing. The one thing that I still am not satisfied with is storage of bottom rigs that I use when pier fishing in the ocean. They only get used a few times a year and spend the rest of the time in a 5 gal. bucket. When it comes time to use them it's always the same tangled mess. Does anyone have a good system that they would care to share?

What kind of rigs exactly? Could you describe them in a little more detail?

After use I rinse the rigs real good, dry them and put them in appropriate sized ziplock bags. Then they go in the tackle box. Perfect system, no, but it beats a tangled mess...

I also mark each bag with the name of each rig in black sharpie marker

I don't see anything on your link, but I'll bet they are similar in spirit to rigs I used to use for deep water Lake Erie fishing. I tried coiling them up and storing them in individual bags. That never worked out very well for me, they still managed to snarl and getting them stored again on a pitching deck was a pita. It would be worse with wire I'm sure. Better was to wrap them around a spool of some sort. I used old line spools but those would likely be too small for you. Short lengths of PVC pipe would be better. Use as bIg a diameter as practical. You can cut slots in the end to hold the hooks. You can also do this with long narrow strips of wood. V-notch the ends and wind your rigs on length-wise. A big rubber band will hold it together nicely. This method will also store a little more compactly. Hope this helps.
