What would you suggest me to get for a tactical belt (nylon) and where to get it ? I'm new to this kind of thing, so please help me out. :)

I've got a 5 stich Wilderness belt and an SOE riggers belt. Both are top quality gear.

I like the detached ring and additional velcro better on the SOE belt. The wilderness belt has a better overall fit and finish (mainly metal work being polished smooth) and the taper of the belt ends is better for threading though the buckle and your pants.

SOE
The Wilderness

Blackhawk makes a rigger belt too but, I don't buy Blackhawk gear. I've never tried a similar belt from Eagle Industries but, like the other gear of their's I have.

I have a 1.5" 5-stitch The Wilderness Intructor belt. I highly recommmend their belts. If you plan on strapping anything to the belt requiring quick-draw access, get at least the 5-stitch version for stiffness.

Spec Ops has a neat "better BDU belt". They are pretty wide and rigid, should serve your purpose well.

Looks excellent. Very sturdy. Don't suppose airport security would have any problems with it, since you'd be wearing it and there are no blades hidden within, correct?

Another vote for the Wilderness Instructor's belts. I like the 5-stitch for most wear, the CSM was almost too stiff. No knives in them but the buckle on the 1.75" model would leave a nasty imprint against some badguys grape!

I have the Wilderness and the SOE. The SOE is everyday wear for work.(Blue Collar job). The Wilderness for dress type. The SOE is much thicker and load supporting.
The wilderness is less tactial looking.
No comments on either from anyone.
Also have a Blackhawk of the same type. It is much lighter and is my 3rd choice.
Depends on what you are carrying on it. If a good load. SOG. Lighter load, Wilderness. Very light load,Blackhawk.

the wilderness instructors 5 stitch model is the best i have found if ya carry a holster, works great, and comfy too

Airport security definitely will have issues with these types of belts. I use a Wilderness model belt to hold up my work pants, and I travel at least 16 weeks a year through airports. The metal buckles and tie-in points set the metal detectors off like nobody's business.

What I do is keep my belt in my briefcase as I walk through the metal detector, then put in back onto my pants once through the screen. You look kinda funny waddling through the screen without shoes and a belt, but that goes with the travel territory these days.

I have both the 5-stitch and 3-stitch Wilderness Instructor's belts. They are excellent. I find the 3-stitch model more comfortable and prefer it when I am not carrying much gear on my belt.

When I had jury duty in state court in downtown Manhattan, I made it a point to remove my Wilderness belt and put it in the tray. One inspector asked to see the belt probably to check for a belt knife or something else.

I don't have one but what about the Last Resort belt?
