I'm new to these. I went to the sportsmans warehouse store. I saw the Surefire,ED2 I think it is. The defender, with the skull crushers. it was 120$ I kept looking around and found the storebrand. it just says sportsmans warehouse real small.and olive drab color. it was only 30$. it was about an inch or 2 longer than the ED2. and it Also had the skull crushers on it. it was 3 watt,2 lithium batteries.L.E.D.. it has the bright first click and a dimmer second click. it's waterproof too.So my question is, does lumens mean how bright it is? Cuz this sportsmans wharehouse light with the skull crushers on it says 75 lumens with 4 hours. it's so bright if you shine it in someones eyes it'll blind them worse than a camera flash. But are lumen brightness. if so this light for 30$ is as bright or brighter than the 100$ ones. Anyway whatever it is it was a really good deal.

I think you have the wrong forum try candlepowerformes. I would try & answer your questions but they will do a better job. I will say this In a tactical light I would go with surefire the quality is much better.& brightness isn't everything.

As already suggested you may want to look into posting this on CandlePowerForums.com or in the Gear and Gadgets section of BF. Usually most flashlight companies over rate their product while SureFire is the only company that actually UNDER rates its flashlights. If you are looking to buy a SureFire light check out www.lighthound.com , he has the best prices and best service you can imagine along with super quick delivery.

tactical is latin for what ever you have in your hand.the most benefit from a flash light is the momentary blindness factor.i wouldnt strike someone with my flashlight;its easier to blind them or just punch em.tactical is also latin for $100.00 dollars more!oh yea my glock 17 is latin for built in flashlight!

Real quick...you cannot go wrong with a Surefire G-2 Nitrolon, it's their plastic $30 flashlight and I like it so well I bought 2. Waterproof, bright and cheap, plus they back their products up with good customer service.

The ~$30 SureFire G-2 Nitrolon is a great value and worlds better then the imported crap flashlights that claim great performance and deliver very little and break when you really need them. SureFire is reliable and dependable, even with their $30 flashlight.

The best unintentionally kept secret in the world: the Streamlight TL-3, 200 lumens for one hour.
It peels paint.
Small.
Fits on my belt.
Costs about $50.

I carry mine as an EMS helicopter pilot and it puts out about three times the light of my six D-cell Maglite.
Streamlight has provided great support, sending a replacement part no questions asked except my serial number.

I commute on a bicycle year around and carry my Streamlight as part of my self-defense package.
I figure it will buy me at least one clean punch the other guy will never see coming.
My kids blinded each other with it and said they saw blue dots for two hours.

This is an impressive light. I haven't quite found the 200 Lumen rating yet, just 175 on a web page, but that will have to do. Just three times more than my old Surefire.:D

And I thought I was through looking for a light saber.
