Does anyone have a recommendation on Tactical/Combat Folding Knives? Preferably under $100, but any ideas are appreciated. :)

Well Kershaw makes a lot of great knives for under $100, but if you want something more "hard use", take a look at some of Cold Steel's knives. The Recon 1 is a pretty stout blade for about $100.

I'm not recommending a knife to a guy whose screen name is EastSideKiller... :D
I'd go with the Spyderco ParaMilitary/Military, or the Cold Steel American Lawman.

How about a folding smatchet? Very tactical, very cool and comes in black!

It doesn't fold very easily though!

In all honesty though, the recon 1 is a pretty durable knife. My friend took one with him to Iraq and he used it for everything you should never, ever use a knife for and that sucker held up through everything he threw at it (and against everything he threw it at)!

Very funny sir  i'll definitely check those out, I don't need the knife to withstand any abnormal abuse

Just normal abuse?

Seriously, what sort of "tactical" encounters have you been in and are planning to get into? How much "combat" have you seen? Most people here carry knives to help them with daily chores and tasks.

Spyderco Endura 4 Wave.
Priced right, waves very well, ergonomic handle, good steel.
And as pretty much no one gets into knife combat, you can use the Wave to open your beers.:D

Seriously though, great knife at a great price.

Get two Cold Steel Large Voyagers in whatever flavor looks best to you and use one as a beater/trainer while the other one stays pristine and razor sharp - it will be about $76 shipped for both and they are as good/better than most $100-150 tactical knives.

1. Blackhawk CQD Mark 2 Type E.
2. Blackhawk Crucible 2.

Should be available for less than 100 USD street price. I do own and use them for EDC and work.
