Is this a pretty informative book? I have how to make folding knives by lake, clay and centofante, which is great for lock back knives. But I'd like to know more about liner locks to and maybe try them someday. And I would really like to try making a frame lock sometime too. Would I be able to get enough info out of this book to make frame locks, or is there a bigger difference between the two than I think?
Thanks

Matt,

The book is well worth it. It covers just about everything you need to know concerning the locking liner style knife. The only difference between that and a frame lock is the use of thicker Ti for the lock.

Get the book and you will find that it is a great source of info.

Thanks. Looks like I'll have some reading to do.

It's the best how to make folders book on the market. A really excellent book with more than enough information and instructions to make a liner lock folding knife. The book assumes you have access to a shop and to ability to use machine tools. Everything else is clearly explained and illustrated. A must have book for anyone interested in making folders - or who just wants a better understanding of how they are designed and made.

I'm not a maker, but have read the Lake/Clay/Centofante book on single blade lockbacks, and the Shadley/Davis/Bose book on multiblades, and the Terzuola book was a much needed and excellent book on how to make a precision, well thought out, well functioning liner lock. Only book on liner locks I'm aware of.
