"Tactical gear" opinions

What is some of the better "tactical" gear availible?
This includes : flashlights, pens, as well as some of the better
tactical knives availible.


What say the augurers?

Define "tactical."

Steven Dick and I don't necessarily agree, but I still subscribe to his mag. I find the diversity of views on what is "tactical" to be a significant part of the discussion. It's like seeing the argument that a 30-30 lever gun may meet "tactical" requirements better than an M4 with CQ/T Leupold.

What is "tactical" to you?
 
i guess i would say:

surefire m2 or m3
anything from strider
rotring 600 series (as kobuton)
luminox black pilot watches (?)
all black kershaw boa
i guess maybe cris reeve one piece series
umm... i dunno

Not going there - that's for W&C, which I read before I replied.

Tactical gear, and in this case, it seems, with an EDC flavor, might go like : Small black space pen, Ti M-16 by CRKT, CMG Ultra - G (just got it and it throws like a AA Mini for 50% of the profile), Squirt P4.
In the field - space pen, Swamp Rat Camp Tramp, Victorinox pliers, Surefire G2, Glock 19C in a Fobus.

I asked for a definition of "tactical." Is it tactical to use the latter set of gear at the office?
