Finally after a long wait, my Tactical Gladius by John Gage has finally arrived!

Needless to say, the quality is absolutely amazing.

He even upgraded my handles to Carbon Fiber.

I'll get pics of the kydex sheath it came with a little later. But the quality on that is also very high.

Here it is picture along with a ESEE 4, Strider HT-T & HEST/F

How comfortable is the handle? I do like his swords, but the handles look too angular. The flanged area on the end looks like it would poke into your hand and wrist, and I'm not really digging the pointed end.

The handle is very comfortable.

The carbon fiber feels great. Nothing pokes, pinches or anything. And I'm picky too.

I personally love the pointed end and it makes for one hell of a head knocker ;)

Nice to see another owner of his swords! Kinda hard to see, got any closeups on the CF? The pattern looks interesting.

Have one of his Abaddons, and putting down a deposit for another sword in the next week or so.

Did you try any cutting with it? It looks cool but to me it looks very rectangular with only flat angles.Does that affect cutting at all?

Nice sword.
Might want to edit out the language before a mod catches it and issues an infraction!

Eh. I say be rid of that thing. E-mail me, there is a special procedure for disposing of this type of blade that involves attaching it to my bug-out bag...
Seriously very nice piece of steel. You can still send it to me though ;)

Perfect for a bullet shortage.

That is my thoughts exactly! Plus it is silent & deadly, Zombies wont hear me slaying their friends lol

You have to remember, Gladius style blades were best for thrusting/puncturing. Mind you, John put a very sharp edge on both sides of the blade, there wont be any issues hacking limbs if need be ;)

...so where are the in-use pics? :D

None yet, I want to get some watermelons & cow or pig heads. Stuff that is cheap, but wont damage the blade.

I bought this in case there is a Zombie Apolcolypse, but I also dont want to just destroy the blade to find out how tough it is. I know it can handle anything I may ever need out of it. And keeping it pristine until then will allow this to be passed down to my son. (Plus this thing wasnt cheap lol!)

Haha I have it strapped to the back of my Cambelbak Delta 5 vest with Bladetech Large MOLLE clips.

Very nice!

I was missing my Cold Steel Safe Keep II push dagger in those above pics. I'm going to have to take new ones to get the whole family together.

I'm also hoping to maybe upgrade the green HEST/F for their black G10 model to keep everything black & tacticool of course ;)

Very nice! Definitely curious about how comfortable it would be to wield that for a period of time. Second the question on the handle.

I don't know about zombies, but there was nothing "silent" about hacking varmints like I used to do. Like taking a deer's head off for instance- when the blade goes through it makes a rather loud "smack" sound. Just FYI. :)

Here's a few more pictures, I forgot to have my CS Safe Keep II in the last pics & I just received my Craig Barr Tomahawk head since then too.

We havent had many sunny days lately so it has been hard to get good pics. I took a couple of the sheath for you too. John said he made it out of "Kylex" I believe, an off shoot of kydex & he really liked working with it & the quality of the sheath is top notch.

And I'm telling you guys, the handle is unbelievably comfortable. The CF feels amazing.

Those are Bladetech MOLLE Loks on the back of the sheath & they work amazing. They keep your gear so tight against the MOLLE, no flapping around like those nylon MOLLE straps.

A lot of folks don't care for MOLLE Loks, but I LOVE 'em. Like you said--no more flopping gear!

MOLLE Loks are absolutely the best! They might be a bit harder to get secured than regular straps, but to have everything cinched tight & not flapping in the wind like a bunch of meat is PRICELESS!! LOL
