Finally got my hands on a Tactical Grade Vietnam Tomahawk today and WOW I am impressed!
The synthetic handle is grippy as hell, and fills the hand extremely well. It may not be obvious from the pictures but it tapers from bottom to top and is amazingly ergonomic.
Choking up on the head is an immediate, second nature grip with this hawk - you can punch, chop, rip, and if that isn't enough, lay the smack down with the hawk handle like a reverse grip baton strike. Very cool! Everyone who's handled them is impressed. I can't wait to throw this bad boy - it should be a natural.
I'm also very impressed with the Eagle pouch sheaths that come with the hawks. Very well made, and easily converted to left or right hand carry. A lot of thought went into this hawk, and it shows.
