Anyone check out the latest issue of TK magazine? There is an article about the new CRKT M21. The author says that he wishes the handles were made of G-10 like three other models shown. Two of the three CRKT models were Zytel handled folders. Also, the first article in the magazine was the same one printed in a previous issue. Go figure? I guess it's time they hired a new proof reader. I've heard a lot of smack lately about TK magazine. Mostly about certain topics in recent issues. I just wish they'd get their format right. :p

The section of TK magazine entitled, "Letters to the Editor" talks about a reader that put together a survival knife package consisting of a Cold Steel Mini-Bushman and a few little items to store in the handle. I read this same letter in a previous issue. Also, on page 10 there is a picture of three CRKT folders. Two of the folders have Zytel handles, one has a handle of G-10. In the lower left hand corner is says, "One change I would like to see in the M21 is for it to be offered with G-10 handle scales like these three models from Columbia River."

While we're on the subject of the current issue, there is a good article on sharpening the convex grind. I would suggest anyone who has had questions concerning this read this piece. It also tells you how to make your own sharpener for convex grinds.

Wonderbar, I just bought 2 of the carbon fiber m-16s, really nice knives. I really like the M-16 desert sand blade/alum. handles, was it reviewed in magazine ? I can't find any more of them, they seem to be sold out.

Dpris, glad your back, got any stories of snakes or varmits ?

Razorback-knives, Hello

Robbie Roberson ;)

Hi Robbie,
Took the Rhino up scouting in the mountains west of the house Friday, will never understand how they got mules & wagons up to that old mine. The road was so bad I had my eyes closed most of the way.
And I was driving.
Found an old garbage dump, brought back what I'm told is a steel cylinder sleeve for an unknown engine, couple bottles, and a Polish shotgun shell. Tried to figure out how to bring back a 12-foot section of the old oak iron-bound water pipes there, but they were too big for the Rhino.
Going back in two weeks with camera, rope & a shovel to get some more photos and to check out what we think was an outhouse pit.
How ya been?
Denis

Wunderbar, Sorry for the off topic thread........... :(

Dpris, that kind of stuff is right up my favorite alley. Man you will be in a snaky place if you get in to an outhouse pit, but what fun ! :D Just think of them old blue jars and bottles that may be there.
I just wish I could send you my metal detector to use around the pit, or the outer areas where there might not be as much iron. Man you got my blood pumping when you talk old sites like that. You would not believe the good old stuff I have found over the last 20 years. I don't do it much anymore, but still get out around the house sometimes, always find something old.
I am OK, hangin in there, Let us know what you find.

Robbie Roberson :D
