Tactical modded Kanetsune hunter

I bought this one from TheCarbideRat with intentions of making a CF handle but that didn't pan out. Instead, I took it to my belt grinder and changed the entire way this knife can be used by making some sawdust. When the handle felt done, I gave it (including guard/collar) 4 coats of Plast-Dip. I finished it off by polishing some of the black off with a 1x42 leather belt and green compound.

Nice! The pattern on the flat parts of the blade looks cooler than it did pre-mods.

Matt -looks like you did a good job, :thumbup: the lack of an effective end guard and overall shape of the handle was what bothered me about this knife, the blade itself is awesome it's something the Japanese really have a right to be proud of not snotty though [there seems to be some arrogance over there]. Rock ON. How about a sheath now?

-it's Hitachi Blue steel, and AFAIK it's 15 layers.
