Tactical shorts?

Does anyone here wear those tacticool shorts? Are they more like cargo shorts i.e. baggy/low cut, or are they dressy? They look pretty functional especially for fellow gear addicts who seem to run out of pockets for clipping/stowing knives, lights, pens, mags, etc. in. ;)
 
don't know how tacticool they are, but I wear nylon shorts from Bass Pro.. their seconds line of World Wide Sportsmen... Boca Grande model... very durable nylon, water drain grommets, and will fit an 1 3/4 gun belt...the nylon looks like canvas, and dries very quickly...wear them almost year around, and get about 3 years out of a pair...a nylon flats fishing cape back shirt in aqua or salmon, and wide brimmed mesh ventilated hat is my tacticool 3gun clothing
 
I'm not sure about tactical shorts... I just buy various types of cargo shorts. I have taken to blends like 70% cotton and 30% nylon.
 
I have a few pairs of "MOC Shorts" I got from LAPoliceGear a while ago. I like them alot better than regular cargo shorts and heres a few reasons why

1. The cargo pockets on the sides have velcro. Its pretty quiet and I prefer velcro > buttons or snaps.

2. There are two front pockets (basically on the front of the thighs.) You can put items in there and because of the way its sewn whatever you put inside will not print (show an outline.) This is where I normally conceal my OC spray or my pocket knife while out and about.. almost invisible in there

3. More belt loops! I'm used to wearing a military uniform, and when you only have like 4 or 5 loops on a pair of shorts or jeans it just feels loose to me.

These things are basically BDU pants with a hem and a few upgrades. I wear them during summer and I love them. Good luck on finding these exact ones.. I got them on closeout, and I believe they are completely sold out for atleast a year.

On the other hand, you can go with something like Kitanica. They have some new shorts coming out soon. I have a pair of their PNT X.A (black) and they are awesome.

Thanks for the replies guys. I too usually just wear cargoes but some of their front pockets are pretty shallow (at least on mine) and carrying anything sharp 4.5" closed and up gets a bit hairy. I agree on the belt loops though. I wear BDUs at work and I like the loops on them much better than my casual pants.

Blackfox, you know if the MOC shorts are completely disco-ed?

Wow, those Kitanicas look awesome! A little rich for my blood though... :(
 
I really like the 5.11 Tac-Lite Pro shorts and pants.
