This is a Tanto that a friend of mine commissioned me to do for him. It is 154CM heat treated to 60 RC by Scott Cook (Thanks again Scott!), handles are green canvas Micarta. Still need to surface grind the flats and finish the hollow grind. I will grind the chisel point and do final sharpening after painting with Gun Kote. What do you think?

Hello

Well, from the little pictures it looks really interesting, however, there is not enough detail for really drool over . . .

More pictures please :D

Progress as of 10/30.

Still left to do: Surface grinding, finish grind the hollow grind, sand blast and paint with Gun Kote (blade and screws), possibly do some file work in the scales to mimic traditional Tanto lacing, final sharpening and grinding of the chisel point. Are these pics big enough?

#*%^!,
Surface ground the flats yesterday and decided this morning to finish up the hollow grind. Got the first side all dialed in, nice straight grind line. Switched to the other side and after the first pass a crack showed up radiating from the first serration that I filed into the cutting edge. Rats! Lesson learned-grind serrations in after heat treatment.
