Just arrived from Brad Roe. Right size and balance. Way to go Brad!

With ATC VTAC for comparison

I bought mine on e-bay - Brad is only selling them there for now. Apparently he has 2 sizes, this is the smaller one.

Yes it is a sweet 'hawk indeed! I sent Brad a titanium blank and he made a nice survival-type knife for me. Brad, and his wife Lisa are good, stand-up people. Now I want a Roe tomahawk!

I agree. I have had a couple folks pick up the Guild Knives tomahawk and then handle the others I own - they keep going back to Brad's. I mentioned to him he should do some designs without the spike, I hope he does.

I"ve never handled a tomahawk, let alone one with a spike, so I can't say how usefull the spike is, but I'd like to see one of his with the spike turned down slightly, like a pick-axe. This would be safer for the user, in my humble opinion, and would be just as usefull.

I agree! I also prefer the slightly curved spike.

Thank you for all the kind words. We work very hard to produce a product that gets used for what it is intended and try to keep them in the price range that makes it affordable for all. Brad individually cuts these hawks by hand. He is working on your suggestions and adding some curve but for penetrating and puncturing finds it is better to be straight than curved. He will make them to suit the buyers needs though so all you have to do is let him know. The hawks can be bought on our ebay store at http://stores.ebay.com/RoeKnivesNGifts You will also find other odds and ends and best of all more items that Brad has made, from knives, to carbon fiber swords to titanium walking sticks. For those of you that are married, we have nice ponytail holders that are dual purpose weapons. Makes great gifts. Check us out!

Do, indeed, check them out! I can personally attest to the quality of design, execution, and materials, all at very reasonable prices. I can also attest to the care and concern given to the customer. A top-notch outfit!

Just got my Roe tomahawk and I am loving it! Just like knuckledusters, it is the smaller of the two types Brad Roe makes, the " Light ugly". This hawk is robust and well made of high carbon steel, with the blade and spike being heat-treated for hardness and edge retention, the rest is left as- is for shock absorbtion and flexability. An awsome 'hawk!

I just sold my Hays Knives of Montana "Next Generation" spike hawk and I REALLY miss it! The "Heavy Ugly" looks JUST like the thing to fill the void--w/o having to spend another 300.00 to replace the Hays! Nice looking work! Best Regards--Jim Falor SEMPER FI

Thank you! If you haven't checked out the Ebay store yet you may want to. The heavy ugly that usually goes for 175.00 is 130.00 and the light ugly that sells for 150.00 is 100.00. There are only 3 heavy and 1 light left. They will go fast. This "special price, Summer Sale " is only until July 2nd. Monday the 3rd if there are any left the prices are going back up.[/COLOR]

Why sell on Ebay? Are you still not established? Or is Ebay easier then having your own website?

We moved to Michigan to help his dad who is in failing health and we do not have our own website right now. Ebay is just easier for us right now. Once we go back home to Florida this fall, I will be setting up our own website to sell on. Thank you.

The last light ugly hawk sold this afternoon from our Ebay store. We have several of the big uglies left and have decided to keep the price at 130.00 instead of 175.00 for a few more days. Probably at least until the 9th of Julyl We hope that will help out any who still want one and haven't had the opportunity to buy yet. Thank you!

I can't wait to see you folks more esablished.

We will be reviewing one of Guild Knives products in EDC Magazine, not sure if it will be this issue or the next. You deserve our support.

Good products, great prices.

Sorry to hear of your family health problems, I hope all will be well and works out for the best!

Another thumbs up for the Guild Knives tomahawk. Sturdy and well balanced, I need to learn to throw better!
