Tactical tomahawk in New Mexico?

I've read up on New Mexico knife laws. Basically it is legal to OPEN CARRY anything except an automatic or balisong. Does this cover tomahawks?? To be clear, I am talking about open carry in a sheath hanging from my belt, not waving it around like some lunatic.

PS Don't know if this is at all relevant but it is also legal to open carry firearms in New Mexico without a permit.

I think if you’re not carrying it for the purpose of using it as a weapon, you should be okay. Speaking of NM, wonder if they’re going to get on board with their neighboring states and legalize autos and balis soon. Asked Doug Ritter the other day on Instagram if they’re on his agenda at the moment. He hasn’t responded. That said, I’m sure many collectors in NM still own them anyway.
