Has anyone purchased from tactical gear.com? I’m looking at purchasing this mini griptilian.

I contacted benchmade to ask if they were legit and benchmade says they are not authorized to sell their knives. So are they selling fake knives?

Their price is below MAP and they're not an authorized dealer, although the price on that model isn't "this is obviously a fake" low. IMO the small savings isn't worth shopping there instead of with an AD, like any of the many reputable dealers who support BF.

Looks legit to me. They've got job listings, social media presences, a parent company, you can find all their parent company leadership on LinkedIn (and their profiles/jobs make sense).

It makes sense they aren't an official dealer also because everything about them says they're a drop shipper and buying from distributors. Their leadership positions are in ecommerce, so that also says they're reselling and not much of a physical presence (at least not for all their goods probably). Their BBB reviews also point the same way--"ordered but was out of stock", "delay in shipping", etc.

The risk I expect is the above, that there may be a delay and getting to customer service possibly a pain. CC chargeback is always the worst case option with that. If concerned there, I'd give their phone number a call; it's plastered all over the website after all. (The area code also matches the area their parent company is in, another good sign that they aren't some scam site.)
