Thought I would try out a tactical model. Let me know what you think.

The blades are 4.25" of satin finished CPM S60V. The top knife has carbon fiber scales and the bottom is ebony. Both have stainless ladder pattern bolsters, gold inlaid thumbstud, and 24k gold plated screws.

I think they both look great. Though I am not a very big fan of tactical knives, these are so stylish that the fact that they are tactical takes nothing away from them, in my eyes.

The top one gets my vote, because I prefer the pattern of the damascus and think that the carbon fiber makes for a better color matching. It would also look great in African Blackwood.

They're knock-outs ! And love the blade grinds ! ! :D

But, in keeping with the true sense of being tactical. . .you receive a 3 point deduction for having damascus bolsters, gold inlaid thumbstuds and gold hardware. ;)

Oohh mannn...I hate those three point deductions. I have to add a little something even if it is tactical. Fighting and gold have a long history together...yeah that's it. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys!!

FAN-TAS-TIC!!! I love that blade shape but the handle even more. I would have to bet that those knives have some thick titanium liners, maybe something along .075" and at least a 5/32" blade. If not can one be made like that? Maybe in more "tactical-like" materials. Don't get me wrong as those are plum' mind-booglin'
In fact I add three extra points for originality!:D  ;)

Nice looking work Andy.., like Keith.., the top one gets my vote for general esthetics.., but both pieces are nice..., thanks for the pictures...

Those two are still looking good! Andrew did you get my second e-mail outlining materials and changes? Let me know!:D

Thanks again guys! After putting in the hours on a knife its nice to walk 'em around a little. Art I received your email and replied. Good choice of materials. Kinda like a real tactical; no pretty stuff.

I'm not a knifemaker, but I like tacticals. Ya blades are really nice!;) I wonder what other users feel, but perhaps you could consider adding a lanyard hole and thumb grooves - I look for these in my tactical users
:)

Spykem, I like the idea of a lanyard hole. For three or four years I carried a large Sebenza in my pocket suspended from a lanyard. This set up worked very well. I left off a thumb ramp/grooves because the bolster functions as a guard on the top and bottom. Thanks for the feedback.

Andrew I come over here once or twice a week just to stare at those two tacticals. I just really, really love the handle shape coupled with the blade you've done. About the one I ordered and said Blade Show would be a good time to pick it up, well it wouldn't. Just put that bugger in line and the sooner the better!!!:D  :D

I like the idea of a throng hole myself and wouldn't mind if you incorporate one in mine.

Man o man I can't wait:) ..............but I have to.:( ;) :D
