Missed the drop for the Taylor Martin x Tactical Redhawk so I'm back on the hunt for an ideal EDC fixed blade.

Anyone know of any similar alternatives, or have different suggestions for their ideal EDC fixed blade?

Any makers interested in cooking something up for under $500?

- 4 - 4.5" handle length
- 2.5 - 3" blade length
- Reverse tanto/wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade with a shallow belly
- Handle scales tapered down to blade tang

Pic of the Redhawk below. Looking at it again, realizing I personally wouldn't mind a thicker (top to bottom) handle, more similar to the Carothers EDC.

I have a variety of treated blanks in all kinds of steels.
D2, 3V, Wolfram, NitroV/AEB-L Cruwear, 8670, more

Small sampling

All the profiles can be ground, and adjusted to your needs.
These are just some of the EDC orders I'm going to be working on soon.

I have about a year wait, but if you put an order in (DM me) time goes by fast (too fast) and we just can't have One knife....haha.

I like knives in the 2.75"-3" blade range, 4 to just over 4" handle for EDC and general use! I started making a fixed blade version of the Benchmade Bugout (FBBO) in drop point and reverse tanto, and then did the SKS, a super slim, hidden tang, very light weight version, too for lighter slicing tasks.

First few are my Shop Knife Scapel, aka SKS. These are 1/16" Magnacut at 64 HRC, blades between 2.6" and 2.9". They are a hidden tang/frame handle construction. The first one is my personal shop knife, 2.2 oz weight with slim micarta scales, around 5/8" thick at the palm swell area. SharpBits SharpBits has the orangey red/burlap one and the pink/white/red G10 camo handle is available. The one with the Ambonya Burl handle also sold, but has a chunkier handle. I also have 2 more of the blanks I can build up as well.

S90V, .080" at the spine, 2.75" cutting edge, natty canvas micarta guard and liners, paper micarta handle and ivory paper micarta frame:

I also do a FBBO model, which is similar to the SKS, but full tang and thicker handles in a drop point or reverse tanto. These aren't available, but I have more hardened blanks I haven't gotten around to grinding out yet.

I have 3V, CruWear, and Magnacut on hand as well as a bunch of simple carbon steels and AEB-L/Nitro V, too.
