I notice we now have "Tags" at the bottom of a page we are viewing. What is it and how does it work?
 
I'm just starting to figure that out ... this is not the place to discuss it, though. It wouldn't work if only the moderators understood it....
 
New feature to group similar threads. For example, if a thread is about sebenza's, you add a sebenza tag. Quality control, same thing. You get the picture
 
If you click on "edit tags" at the bottom right of a thread you can add tags. If you click on "tags" at the bottom left you can search by tags. You also see a list of most used thread tags website wide, which is a little screwed up right now because only a few people have noticed the function and started using it and they've used a lot of obscenities. If you only looked at that list you would get a misleading impression about what kind of website Bladeforums is. Is this proof that the most intelligent people are most inclined to obscenity? Or maybe it's not the most intelligent people who find a feature first ... :confused:

I hope that will change as more people start using the feature. Then again ... we've had a thread rating feature for a long time, and nobody at Bladeforums ever uses it.... :confused:
 
I tagged a For Sale post with a CR Mnandi as "mnandi"... I hope that was ok to do...
 
When you search tags you can see what forum the threads are in before you open the threads, so anyone who's searching can open only for-sale threads if that's what he's interested in, or only threads in the discussion forums if he chooses. I think we should tag threads in the for-sale forums; it's not spamming.

I gave this thread a tag. :)

I read a USAF report many years back that studied "black box" recordings of aircraft crashes...They found that the pilot's last entry on crash recordings was invariably "Oh Sh*t!!!"... :(

Most of those tags will be deleted - specifically the ones that are retarded.
