What's your thoughts on this new United Cutlery design? Yeh or neh on the recurve on the blade? [EDITED] is giving one away today on their Facebook, but they are also only $24.99 normally. [REMOVED]

The handle looks pretty comfortable and useable. The blade is screwed up though. I'm not a huge recurve fan, but have a couple and they're decent. Not sure what the point of the double recurve is though. And they're pretty big/deep recurves too. That makes it pretty unusable in my opinion. Pretty much impossible to use for anything other then stabbing as you would have a lot of trouble keeping a stable edge if you tried to use it.
If they made it with a single, shallow recurve it would be a better knife in my opinion.
