Never really loved the TAK, still it was the knife I used most.
Recently, I gave the knive a new look. I guess I will use it even more in the future:D

Modifications:
-drilled grooves into the Micarta
-removed the coating of the blade
-did some mustard etching

Not sure how I feel about the blade etching, but I LOVE the jigging you did to the handle! Do you have any close-ups?

Great job. And I love the blade etching. Care to tell your process for the pattern? Rubberbands, perhaps?

Just a few simple stripes of mustard across the blade. Let it rest over night - done.

I'll come up with detailed pics soon.

Pretty cool, I guess it's the "bleed out" that made me think otherwise. She turned out nice.

that job to the micarta kicks ass over the place.
I have a RAT7 that I've had to mod thanks to blade coating damage and I'm seriously considering doing a jig-job to the scales now that I've seen yours.
Care to share the process?
(Considering the mustard thing too, now that I've seen something this creative).
