Here are 2 pics of the 4th knife I've made. Of the 4, it's my favorite one yet :)

The pics are on my Myspace page (see, it's good for something ;) ) and should load easily. The pic quality ain't great because, in lieu of not having a digital camera, I simply place the knife on my scanner and photographed it like that.

Knife specs:
-1095 carbon steel, triple heated/quenched
-green canvas micarta scales
-stainless steel pins and thong tube
-blade finish is a mustard patina which helps inhibit rust
-blade length (tip to finger guard/ricasso underneath scales): 2.75"
-handle length (finger guard to butt): 3 7/12"
-OAL: 6 1/12"

I don't have pics of the spine, but the handle slabs are contoured, being thinner up front and in back, where the forefinger and pinky hold the handle. I have medium-large hands and get a close-fitting, 4-finger grip on this knife. Next up, I need to learn how to make sheaths! :D

I really like the way it looks! It also looks as if it could serve me well in the kitchen and that, in my mind, is a compliment.

Great little user you have there. I like it. My favorite blade shape too.

Good job. You should post this on the link to my home page in my profile also. The guys will like it over there.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! The F&F (fit 'n finish) on the blade isn't as great as it could be, but that'll come with more practice.

I've never had a wharncliffe blade before; I'm really liking the blade shape. I'm gonna use this as an edc fixed blade and really test out the grind on it - it has a slightly convex blade grind, with about a 25 degree edge.

tgw914 - you hit the nail on the head, I made this one with the intention of it being a fixed blade edc.
jvan - thanks for the compliment! I'm looking forward to having this one pull kitchen duty :)
STR - I'll do so, thanks!

Looks like a nice practical blade!

But, about that Griptilian... look like you've almost got it broken in! ;)

Place the knife on the scanner and a piece of light blue paper over it before scanning.

Nicely done, keep it up. Definitely learn how to make a good sheath. No fixed blade should be mated to anything other than a good quality sheath.

What Keith said!!!

What is the primary grind? At what temperature was it tempered? Nice sharpening job on the Griptillian by the way.

Gryffin: yep, another few years and the Grip will be ready to go! ;)
Esav: thanks for the tip. On this one, I put my maroon vest behind the knives for some color contrast. I'll try paper on the next set of pics... until I get a digi camera, that is
Keith and Leatherface: thanks much! Sheath making is soon going to be a top priority of mine. I wanna EDC this bad boy like it was made for, darn it! I'm gonna learn both kydex and leather; IMO, they both have their place.
Untamed and Gerberian: thanks much! It's the first wharncliffe blade I've ever owned and I'm really liking the style.

To answer Cliff's questions -
-The primary grind is a convex grind; right now, though, I find it's got too much steel above the edge bevel so, once I get my Coote grinder, I'm carefully going to remove some of the steel directly above the edge.
-I tempered it at 375* F then 425* F. Since its primary purpose is to be a handy pocket slicer, I opted to keep it on the somewhat harder side. After the second tempering time, the file would bite on the edge, but wouldn't gouge out mean chunks. FWIW, it's similar in hardness to my Greco (folding) Falcon.
Thanks for the kudos on the Grip sharpening job; I love the edge that diamond
sharpeners give
