As EDC's go I'd like to offer yet another consideration, the TOPS Tom Brown Scout. With an overall (in sheath) length of approximately 6 inches, micarta scales, epoxy coated 3/16" 1095 blade, and VERY snug kydex sheath, it's hard to beat in the under 100 dollar range. It carries extremely well on the belt horizontally with it's adjustable clip. Because, however, of it's weight and length it can't be worn or carried as a necker. Otherwise, this piece is about as ideal as any EDC i've ever carried, including the RC-3 and/or the Izula and I like both of those as well.
