It wasn't warm enough today, so I went to the shop and put the final touches on this one.
Forged from 1" 5160 stock.
Forged, etched, and file-worked Wrought iron guard and butt cap.
Mild steel finial.
Checkered copper ferrule.
Some really clean Desert Ironwood that has some strange character to it. Sort of knotty!.
Take-down configuration.

Worked about like osage.
Most hard woods are all about the same.
I file all of my hard wood handles anyway, so they NEVER get heated up.
All wood is easy with a file!

I like very much what you ha ve done with this knife. It is a departure from others that I have seen from you, and I like to see the diversity.
