Is there a "History Connection" with this Shrade and Buck 505 in regards to who manafactured these knifes.

I was looking for a new smaller an lighter knife for my [pocket] tackle Box to ~take me to the river~ I have had this SHRADE LB3 + U.S.A. for 19 years traveling with me in my Johnson & Johnson Band Aid box with lures & flies. I saw this BUCK 505 <- U.S.A. on a [confiscated] 'airport lot at auction" that I won! 3 BUCK knives in total a 309<- U.S.A. & a 505 sideways T and a 425 - U.S.A. for $6.25 per knife. I like drop points 505 VS the Shrade LB3 Clip Point and the 505 is lighter an smaller but not by much.

THANKS! TAH.....I'll be fully prepared when I get a THOMAS "Little Tiger" back into my mini pocket tackle box....LOL

What I'm looking for is there any connection? to these 2 models? like did BUCK make the LB3 for Shrade etc....or did Shrade swipe the whole design from BUCK.....

Just for future thought "a trick" a method we used for wobble discription meaning from side to side when open. I'll call this at "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK" back in the day 60's 7 70s me and my friends would take a old motorcycle tube or some nice soft wood and put the front bolster in a vice soround the front bolster both sides with a piece of inner tube or 2 blocks of soft wood tighten the vise very slowly and what I call popping it back in! some times it sounds like a pop or snap back in, but go slow and don't go FULL BORE on the poor "SILVER SWAN" she needs to be treated gently. You'll be surprised! with the result....but like I said at "YOUR OWN RISK" or just send it to BUCK. Its a just a quick fix......

added today! once this photo and the pin: * See how the pin is on the front bolster in the 1st photo, this is what I'm talking about when we used this old trick to "pop it back in" it will make a sound like a [click] to get rid of the wobble from side to side......

thats a real strong no.....LOL Thank you 2TONYB, I didn't know if there was some kind of mutual sub-contracting going on, I thought I heard other knife makers had been either gobbled up by BUCK "takeover" or made knifes for BUCK. I was stunned to learn about the CHINA thing too, who would ever guessed? It made me think they might have some kind of side sub-contracting thing going on between them.

Thanks for the clarification! TonyB.........

It just struck me how so simliar they were & was there some deal? and were they contracted out? or did shrade just copy cat BUCK. In high school I bought a Sears Silvertone Guitar I loved it! but sold it, [after]
I sold it, I found out later that FENDER made it for SEARS that 1 year, it was worth way more than what I had sold it for..........One of kind of sorts for collectors of Fender guitars.
