Edit:

Important! Please read this before taking the test!

Please note that your personal score and your category ("very knowledgeable" etc) is the only thing that counts on the results page.
It usually also says that you scored higher than 99% of all takers. This is not accurate since OKCupid apparently only compares your score to those of people who have an account there!

Let me know what you think about it.

95 percent, no idea who runs Entrek :foot: , I think there was another one I had to guess on too. Nice though, most of the other tests I've seen are kinda ummm... yeah ;)

Interesting I did ok with 56%, but some of the questions I really was not aware of.

75% for me... Oddly I thought I got a lot more than that right. I was thinking it was an easy test, but 75% barely passes.

Very knowledgable.
76 % knife knowledge!
You absolutely know your way around the knife world, although you missed a few details.
Well I guess thats not too bad. Great test by the way!

Thanks for your comments. I tried to cover as many different aspects of knife knowledge as possible. So if you are, for example, a collector of antique slipjoints and extremely knowledgeable in that area, but don't know much about modern materials, you might not get a very good result in this test.

I got 82%. Not bad for someone who isn't into tactical / sporting knives, I guess.

yay i got 77% and "My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender: You scored higher than 99% on knife knowledge"

Interesting test. 40 of 40 answered. I took another test awhile back and signed up with OKcupid. Just end up getting junk mail from them.

As I said, the results comparing your score to other takers' don't really count if you're not a OKCupid member, you'd have to rely on the accuracy of your score only.

...just want to add that Stormdrane edited his post, I referred to his pre-edit post here - just so you know why I'm repeating myself here. ;)

Knife expert!
100 % knife knowledge!

You scored higher than 99% on knife knowledge

Took it at 2:20 pacific time Saturday, if you wanna check up on me through the logs :) I guess the "higher than 99%" thing doesn't make sense

Fun test that covered a lot of different topics. I must admit to cheating on a few questions and using google. Just three. spoiler warning, don't read if you haven't taken the test

I had no idea what the cutlery capital of France was. And I've only seen McClung's stuff advertised as a gun treatment.

Joe,

here's the knife lubricant question again:

Which is NOT a knife lubricant?
Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide
MD Labs XF 7
Protec Industries V9
Militec-1

I simply made up the "Protec Industries V9".

XF 7 is supposed to be used for lubing knife pivots, too.

Scored a 65%. Need to brush up on my knife history which is where im sure i missed most of my answers. Very nice test and fun to take. Thanks.
