Okay, not really... Basically I got a random email that got me to thinking about how I project myself around here. It's not like I want to re-engineer my entire life, but perhaps I should change my approach to folks on the forum.

The email, was about the shoptalk section in particular, so that's where I posted the poll.... but I frequent this forum a lot, so please feel free to take the poll if you like. :)

And no, I'm not so pretentious as to think most of you care all that much ;)

The little picture of you shows that at least option#1 is
somewhat irrelevant.

Or did you hire a model to pose for the picture??

I have never met you, but my impression formed from posts on here is that you are a welcome addition and asset to the forum. That email you posted is obviously from someone a sandwich short of a picnic:D to say the least.

Stop worrying and make more knives to post!

LOL! This is exactly what I was thinking! Nick, you're an asset to the forum. You'll never make everyone happy so don't sweat it. My answer was #4 on the poll:). :D
 
I would'nt worry about it too much Nick, but I took the poll just for the heck of it. I once had a troll on another forum pull up 9 or 10 old threads of work I had posted and just trashed me and my work. Come to find out it was a couple of idiots I work with who thought it would be funny.:(Some people just want to stir the pot, which is probably the case here.

Nick, there's always going to be people who want to bring you down. Ignore them. If this goofball didn't even have the half a gonad required to sign his name, he / she / it doesn't merit the time I've taken to type this response, much less the time you've taken to run that poll.

You are obviously well liked, what else would explain all of the posts kidding you about your production. They are all done in a friendly manner.

I feel sort of stupid now, because it turned into a mess that reaks of the T-shirt "LOOK at ME, I'm an attention whore"

Which I probably should have seen coming... but it was purely started because I figured if I was projecting myself in a negative way... I either needed to change or leave. Pretty simple.

Gig and Nordic... those were both hilarious, THANKS :D
 
I've never met you either Nick but I frequent these forums and see the following you have, as a maker and a decent guy. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Happy new year to you and yours!

I have always enjoyed your participation here, love your knives and feel you are always respectful to others.

I'm actually quite surprised by all this as I feel you have a HUGE following of fans and MUCH support here, even to the point of being a little annoying at times. :p ;) :)

Don't let an anonymous e-mail get to you. You have friends here and your contribution is valued.
