well I finally made up my mind and did it. Have a wood inlay ( ironwood ) Sebenza comming in tomorrow. I have a standard model and have found it to be a very fine knife. I have debated on the wood inlay model and finally decided to pick one up. BTW, ironwood is one of my favorite woods.
I have really jumped into a few customs lately. Just picked up a Dozier Folding Dagger, an AWESOME knife! The Boguszewski Wegner is one of my favorite carry knives, and another Dozier, the Buckhunter, might just replace it when I get it clipped. But, I can't wait to see the Sebenza. Have been hearing and seeing a lot of good things about the wood inlayed models. BTW, does this knife fit the CRK leather sheath?
Well, all for now. Will update when the Sebenza arrives.

The large wood inlay fits the CRK leather sheath fine, have fun with your new knife.

I saw one of those Dozier daggers at a show this summer, awsome.

Artsig1:

I just got my small wood inlay and it is quite nice. The wood rounds out the handle and thumb slides down and into the thumbstud. The knife is thicker than the standard and will fit into the enclosed sheath but it is a tight fit. I bought an aftermarket pouch to carry it in my leather jacket when I ride my motorcycle to work. It has a snap over cover and some padding. I got it for storing purposes, mostly it is home in my left front pocket. You make want to get a hold of Gary Graley, he makes very nice sheaths for the Sebenzas and will custom make one for you.

i dont have any of the inlay ones, but i have a couple of the ones he did with the laser cuts and polished body... even got one with the damascus blade. the inlayed ones dont do anything for me, but you know a carbon-fibre inlay would look nice.

Well the Sebenza came and it is truly a work of art. The ironwood is gorgeous. The extra heft and rounding out of the handles feels great. Only problem is I am afraid to carry it! I had to pull out the regular Sebenza to carry. If the urge just overpowers me to carry this knife can it be sent back for sprucing up if needed? Also thinking about a custom sheath from G2 for this one. I really like the contrasts between satin and dark gray on the handle along with the satin finish on the blade.
A very satisfied soul. BTW stjames, the Dozier folding dagger is AWESOME!

Carry that baby! I've been carrying mine for two days and Gary Graley also carries his frequently. But you must be reasonable. Don't put the knife in the same pocket that you carry your keys or spare change. With careful use, you should be able to carry it everyday, of course if you are in construction and/or around a lot of dirt and rocks, I wouldn't carry it there. But casually at home around the house or office, go for it! Yes it can be refurbished. Minor scuffs and scratches can be sanded and refinished, major gouges can't. Enjoy that baby! Life is too short!

Scottdog, you have the right attitude. What good is a knife if you don't use it. CR Knives make beautiful knives that are meant to be carried and used on a daily basis. I would have second thoughts, though, with a Gold Coin Sebenza...
