by the features of a really quality knife.

Ok, you guys got to me a little and since I have been thinking about a new "EDC" knife for several months to supplement my Schrade Tough Chip and give me a little more security I decided to see what was available locally at a little more reasonable price.

I found some SOGs, Kershaws, Bucks, and even a CRKT. I was really impressed with the Kershaw Scallion 1620H3 and the assisted opening feature. So that's what I got. At just under $40.00 it's the highest price I've paid for a single commercially made knife that fits in your pocket.

Now I guess I've started down that slippery slope toward being a bladeaholic.

Thanks a lot guys, like I needed another obsession. :) It was always there, and if I can get my collection together you'll see what I mean. Any excuse to buy a new tool. :D

I'm in about the same position as you. Just now starting to spend a little more on knives than I used to. I just ordered a BM 960, the most i've spent on a knife so far, but probably not for long

You're one of us now you know. You need a highend production and a semicustom before the end of the year.

Its not peer pressure, its just your turn.

I'm actually going to build a kit knife to start with and I'm thinking about a custom necker. We'll see where it goes from there.

Keep em sharp.
