Does anybody know what knife the sheik's bodyguard used in the knife fight scene against Liam Nesson that happened in the boat?

I'm not sure but I will watch the end "boat scene" later tonight. I planned on watching it anyway. Maybe someone else will chime in soon. TheBleedingEdge beat me to it.

It isn't a Strider Tarani karambit. It's too wide from the spine to the edge to be, from what I can tell. I've got the movie on my laptop. :]

Here's a screenshot I just took.

Nicely captured! With the spine cutouts and the apparent lack of a bevel on that thing I'm betting its just a prop knife, not something made by a cutler.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured it was either a custom or just a prop weapon. Either way, I kind of want one now.

Hey now. Don't lose all hope yet. It could still be a chisel grind!

It's a pretty good movie. Also just watched "the book of Eli" yesterday, and some sweet knife action in it.

Knife makers usually provide several copies of the same knife to the movie studio. That one is definately the blunted, non-dangerous one. There's likely to be at least one useable k-bit from the movie out there.

Hello,
I can confirm that my company realised this knife.
It was ordered for this movie by the Producer company and they looke like I think to the Strider model.
They don't cut for sure.
I'm so glad to discover it on the Forum.
Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure, but to my eye the blade appears to be aluminum. Maybe isixav can confirm?

If anyone catches the knife in "Taken 2", and can ID it let me know. It all happened too fast for me to be sure without a DVD to "pause", but I thought I saw a finger loop on the knife the Albanian was using during the final fight scene.
