I'm going to be visiting a friend in California. I will fly into San Francisco and he'll pick me up and we'll drive north to Humbolt County. I'd like to buy a knife for a souvenir while I'm there. He suggested perhaps finding a knife store in SF or on the drive north. So I'd appreciate any suggestions for knife stores.
I particularly want a traditional knife, and probably Case or Buck. I know what I like, so the models of knives that are at the top of my list, knives I'd use, would be:
• Case 6375 Jumbo Stockman, preferably with bone and in carbon steel. Own one in stainless currently.
• Case 6265 Folding hunter, again, bone and carbon steel. Own one in stainless.
• Case Ridgeback skinner, in rosewood. I've owned one previously
• Case Buffalo Horn 5" hunting knife BH65-5. Currently out of production, never had one.
• Buck 192 Vanguard. Own one currently.
The other knives I know I'd be interested in are:
• TRC Apocolypse
• TRC South Pole
I know that the TRC knives are basically a pipe dream as far as finding them in the wild, but if I happened to run across one, I'd probably choose that over a more common variety.
Anyways, I appreciate any suggestions for knife stores of interest.
