Hi, I just joined the forum so first ill just introduce myself real quick. My name is Justin, I have a Ontario utilititac 2 folder and my girlfriend just ordered me a condor crotalus for Christmas. I'm a knife newbie so I'm seeking advice on the forum and hope to learn a lot more and get more involved in the hobby.

Anyways, when I get the crotalus I would like to take the black coating off and perhaps send it somewhere to get an acid-stonewash etching or maybe something else. My question is, once I take the handle off, will I need anything specific to put it back together so that it performs as well as before? Sorry I'm a newb!

Thank you

Not sure its something you want to do. The crotolus appears to have slb handles held in by tubes and since the scales are afixed this way they may even be epoxied on to prevent corrosion.

Does that mean there is no way to get a acid stonewashed etching on the knife without messing it up?
