Just wondering something here. Is it possible to take apart a spyderco centofante 3, and if so, how? I was thinking about using a cloth and some flitz around the pivot area to try and make the knife from sluggish to semi fast. Solid knife, just slow... Thanks.

I have one of these. It's a pinned (riveted) construction, so I'd say no. No easy way to replace those rivets, if pulled apart, UNLESS you happen to be a skilled knifesmith.

If the knife is clean and well-lubricated (new?), I'd just recommend that you keep using it for a while. Like most knives, it'll loosen up with some use. AND, if you're like me, your 'muscle memory' for opening/closing it will improve with practice. As your thumb gets stronger at it, you may eventually be glad you didn't take further steps to loosen it up.

Ok. I won't take it apart then, I thought they were just pins. Ty. And maybe it'll loosen up more, but it is clean, oiled, and well worn from 6 months of carrying. I'll just keep working on it. Ty.
