Taking apart my Tenacious

I'm trying to take apart my tenacious and the screws are so tight that my torque bits get messed up. How would you take them out without harming them or the knife?

Perhaps they used a strong loctite. Try heating up the screw in question. I've used an stove burner. Just don't get it too hot.

I didn't have any problems with my Tenacious, but i'd try a blowdryer on hot, should loosen the loctite.
Best of luck

A blow dryer to both sides of the pivot (other screws as well) will break lock-tite . You have to press "down" firmly and then turn. They should back right out. Good luck! ;)

Thanks guys il try it out even thought they are semi stripped. It's weird because the tenacious that I'm swapping scales with is working fine with me. Maybe just a little mess up when making it

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet, but the Tenacious is infamous for having screws strip out. I vaguely remember someone saying the torx screws they use were in between sizes of standard bits.
