taking care of ti scales ?

In my experience - stay away from the matte finishes and go with a nice smooth semi-polished finish.

My Acies has been carried quite a bit, as well as all of my ZT and Kershaw knives in Ti - and the only ones that show trails are the matte finished pieces, like the finish on CRK.

Again, in my opinion, it only gives a knife character, and if you want to restore the finish all it takes is a stonewash or bead blast and you are back in business.

Bottom line, snail trails are like rock chips on a car, the only way to avoid them completely is to not use them.

Well said.

Well.. you could bead blast to a matte finish then stonewash to pre snail trail them all over... then they will blend in... or as was said, not use it...

Some guys like the snail trails, as it always changes as the knife gets more used. I love them. Gives the knife character.
