I've bought & sold 4 lg Sebenzas and I should have listened to my wife telling me I'd regret selling the last one. I do but not really, because it's an inlay model I like and want to buy.

My request for opinions is about the large micarta inlay Sebenza. They look very cool to me which is important. What I'm wondering is -

Do they give a better grip? The original felt kinda slim. Will the stay on? I mean really stay put, despite getting them wet or cruddy. Are they a hard micarta or a softer variety. Are they covered by CRK for coming loose?

I really want one bad but only if they're pretty much bullet-proof.

Thanks for any input!

Yes, yes, yes and yes. They offer better grip, won't come off and are covered by CRK unless you do something real stupid with it.

My Large Insingo with Micarta inlays is easily the grippiest CRK folder I own. It feels much better in my hand than a Sebenza without inlays.

The epoxy that crk uses is of the highest quality and industrial grade stuff. It's used in the construction of skyscrapers so a mere mortal wont be able to force the inserts out.

My Large 21 with Micarta inlay is at the shop getting my error in judgment fixed as we speak and I miss the hell out of it.

You wont regret your purchase!;)

i don't own one, but have handled them at plaza, and the ccks, the micarta feels great in hand. I'm hoping to snag a small one down the line. you wouldn't still happen to have that xm would you :p

That sure is a turn-around from a couple months ago. Why the change of heart?
