After reading all the comments over the past few years and having purchased the CT from the swamp, things finally came together this morning enabling me to free up money to join you elite Busse owners.

I am leaning toward the BA3 or NO. Depending on what the wait is, I would like to purchase new from Jerry, but if it is longer than I want to wait, mabe one of you guys can hook a brother up. I am looking at these two cause my assortment is seriously lacking in those blade length areas.

Let the feedback and recommendations commence. I also have an email placed to the office for current times on those models, but you guys feel free to relate anything you know as well.

Welcome to the brotherhood Cerberus!
Both are great pieces. The NO not only has a longer blade length and 1/4 stock INFI rather that 3/16 but it also has about twice the aspect ratio and the Ergo handle. The result is the NO is a much beefier knife, although you'll be amazed at how well it slices due to that wide aspect ratio. It's the kinda knife that while you buddies are breaking down cardboard boxes with their knives, you'll feel like going to the junk yard to help chop up old auto body's for scrap sheet metal :D The NO is a great camp knife, or to throw in your bug out bag or just keep in the truck till you need it(that's where mine is) and it carries easily but is just pretty conspicuous for urban/suburban carry. For that type of use I like the Ba3, for me a perfect carry length and weight and 3/16 INFI I think is still nearly unbreakable, go for the snakeskin on the Ba3, it is sweet looking, I like to keep a little oil on them to keep the colors deep and vivid.

Good luck, you can't go wrong either way (besides you'll want the other one a week after the first one arrives!)

It is that remark about wanting to get the other one a week later that scares me. I can kick myself for not buying Busse six years ago, I wanted to sit back and see if the company was going to stay around for a while. They were new to me then. If I had all the money I spent on knives since then I could be hanging with the big hogs like 1whobuys and skunk. Sometimes I look back and cry, it's not pretty. Life goes on though............

Kassi got back to me asap on the back-log. 3-6 weeks. Seems long but I know everyone says that it is worth the wait, so I may stick it out. I hope to place the order next week. Now I am leaning more towards the NO since you made those comments about slicing. :D

Has anyone had a SOB sheath made for one of their NO canted for weak side draw if they are carrying a BR or BM on the strong side?

My vote is for the Badger 3. One of my favorite Busse designs is the Badger and the latest version is, in my opinion, the best so far. It is lightweight yet you have no doubt it can handle any task that you throw at it(or for that matter that you throw it at ;) )

If there is any chance you can handle them at a show or find a friend that has them that is the best way to decide, as each knife fits everyone's hand slightly differently. :D:D
