Taking thumb stud off 300?

I love the look of the 300 flipper, but I hate thumb studs. As I'm only going to use the flipper to open, is the thumb stud on the 300 screw off? Anyone done this to theirs?

Yep its threaded.

Yes it's a threaded thumb stud. Need two 6 torx to remove. Mine would just twirl if I used one.

Or a pair of pliers for the otherside.

if you have made up your mind to remove them then ignore this,
but I really like my 300 to middle finger flip using the thumb studs.
the knife really opens easy anyway so flipping it out with the middle finger is fun for me.
