Tali-Whacker edge

Is the Tali-Whacker edge differentially heat treated? If so, is the SR101 treated like the INFI?

i think the smaller knives are through hardened, the large size are not. where the break is i don't know

but i did get one more post to my credit by jumping in on this

IIRC of the Swamp Rats only the Howling Rat and Bandicoot are through hardened. I'm guessing since the Tali-Whacker has a blade longer than 4" it's differentially heat-treated, and from the pics I've seen of Camp Tramps w/o coating and the recurve CT, the hardened edge goes back about 1/2". INFI is always through hardened .

The Tali is indeed through-hardened. However, I really doubt you'd have any problems with toughness given the blades geometry and the steel (which is quite tough even when not diff tempered).
