Talk about tight!

Yesterday I was playing with my SOCFK. Like somebody else said recently, "Wave in, wave out, wave in, wave out". Well, the lock must be starting to finally seat itself, because three or four times it locked up so tight I could barely get it to release with just thumb pressure. I thought I was going to have to take a screwdriver to it orsomething to get it to release! TIGHT baby!

One other thing about the SOCFK and it's 'guard'. When doing thumb-disk openings, I notice that when my thumb rounds the corner, so to speak, of the guard, it is pushed off the disk a little by it (the guard). Anybody else notice this? This isn't a complaint, but I am wondering how much I would be giving up if I had the guard on the left side gound off alittle to eliminate this problem. When I grip the knife strong side, my index finger angles back toward my body, and doesn't contact the left slab at all, so I don't think I would lose anything. But, I am not trained in knfe fighting, so maybe I am not gripping it right either.

Just a random thought.

One more thing. I generally wear Levi Silvertab jeans. They are cut to be snug around the waist but looser in the legs and hips. The pockets usually have too much give because of the loose cut to guarantee reliable wave openings. Be aware of this if you wear baggier pants!

Good thing Ross hasn't seen this yet - he'd think you were talking about something completely different.

Alright...alright! I'll behave and get back on topic.

I remeber when I first purchased the Commanders that at first the liner stuck real tight. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but after practicing opening and closing it, it came to a easier level of releasing the liner lock. Just spend more training time with it and it'll just get better with time.

In the beginning, when I was first practicing with the Wave, I found that the tighter your pants where it became slightly more difficult for me to utilize the Wave opening. My looser pants and some BDUs where so easy it was just a thought and BOOM the knife was open and ready to rock and roll.

When I go for a quick opening I find it helps to angle the knife at a slight 5:30 position and pull up with force to going to the rear. I find this works with both the loose fitting and tight fitting pants. Haven't tried it with spandex pants though

Don't plan on it either..... Unless Atfena requests it

Ok that's enough for now I can see I'm slipping off the subject again.....

Well, I thought about using a different title, then I thought 'Why rob the guys of a little fun'? I knew someone would pervert it.

Odd, though, I would have thought Hollister would be the first to respond. I wonder if Ernie sets a boundry around his daughters when John visits. I am referring, of course, to John's preference for young ones!

Speaking of "sticking" the liner on my SOCFK makes an audible click when I disengage it, and the Commander doesn't... no problem, just makes me feel a little better hearing that click - let's me know there's some friction happening, ya know?

You mean you keep it under 18 John? 18 years younger than you?

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

Now, I know damned well you are older than I am and I am 32.

That means as long as you are 36, you OK Hollister.

And the same goes for a knife...
And, I'm a Usual Suspect.
