Figured I'd toss this thread up in an attempt to be talked out of selling my "H" Sebenza. I probably don't appreciate it as much as I should because it came along so quickly into my collecting. I didn't have to pine for it for long.
For those of you with a greater appreciation for them, can you please jot down some of your thoughts for me to read?

Thank you.

I'd say, unless you really need to sell it to fund other pursuits, hang on to it. I thought about selling some new-in-box small regulars that I've been sitting on for years in a safety deposit box with some customs just to have some extra cash, but I'm glad I didn't. When they're gone, they're gone. Using the funds toward other CRK's, that's antother story. Just my .02.

Professor.

Thank you Professor. It helps to get other perspectives. Plus my family and friends don't have the same love of all things CRK like I do, so it's difficult for them to relate.

Keep the "H" and sell the annual to me, hahaha kidding.
I agree with Professor, Lisa. Keep it unless you really need to.
I have listed most of my knives in order and when the time come, I know which have to go first.

Ah yes, I need to list them in order of what could go first. I forgot to do that, thank you for reminding me.

They are not making any more of them, and the opportunity to buy one is rare. If you sell this one you might wait years for another opportunity.

I have sellers remorse most of the time.

I promised Mrs. Toyz that I would not take any funds out of the coffer to keep the habit / hobby going, so I have to sell some in order to buy some.

I sold several that I wish I could get back - ones that I probably will not get another shot at.

I say hold it until it becomes critical.

I guess I toy with the idea because I'm really more of a decorated scales collector....just trying to pare down and try to keep what I really love.

Sell (one of) your Chris Reeve.....
RU outta your mind....!

Only saving up for nr 2 ...... And 3...... Etc etc

While I don't collect Sebenzas, if you collect them I would not recommend that you sell it. Collections are hard to acquire. It takes, work, time, effort, and more than a little luck. For example, I collect nineteenth century American swords. I can tell you to this day the deals I've made and deals I SHOULD have made. Once you are collecting, though, and have refined the collection to the point that you know what you are collecting, don't sell from your collection unless financial stresses force you to do so. You never know when you will see another Sebenza like this one. You never know if you will ever get a deal like you did the first time around.

I would not sell it.

It's quite unique among the Sebenzas.

There is one of yours that I could provide a home for. :)

Thank you all for the replies.
rolexkid, I don't know the worth....usually a gamble on what someone is willing to pay I suppose.

IMO, I honestly think that its more about collecting the knives that you have some sort of connection with. Wether it reminds you of someone, sometime or place,
or was a gift or Its just one of your favorites because youve had if for so long. I think when you start collecting things just because they are rare or worth a lot of money
than its more about investing than anything. Just my 2 cents.

Take it out and hold it in your hand. Open it and marvel at the craftsmanship.
If that doesn't work, mail it to me.;)

Since no one else has said it;
It is the giving season. Sell it to me for a song!

I think you know that it is nice, rare, and a special one, but you are ultimately more into the decorated ones. If it just doesnt do it for you like the decorated ones I would sell for as much as possible and by the ones u love.
