I admit that the last thing I need is another knife (Isn't that everyone's story here :D) but the knives at Strider have really caught my eye lately. What I'm looking for is non-biased, real world feedback (good and bad) pics are nice also.

Yes I've checked out Strider's forum, and now I want an opinion from the rest of the knife community.

Thanks a bunch in advance for your time.

Dan

Seriously heavy duty knives. They are great. I used to have a Strider-Buck Folder, and I'm not in the process of trying to find another one. I would trust my life to these knives. As a prybar, hammer, chisel, or knife. They really seem to get the job done.
PS. Hey do you still have that used blackhawk bag for 90 bucks? If so, I'll take it.

heavy duty, extremely well built and worth the price of admission. I have 6 so far with more coming. Tad, Arrow-dynamics or Joe Estrada is probably the best places to look.

Thanks for the info :D

I do still have the bag (and a used Phoenix pack - tan for $80 + S&H) - and you have mail ;)

Holy cow! Sounds like they are popular alright. I just wanna know what you guys do to afford so many :D

After playing with one, I can confirm that they are well made, HUGE and have the best liner lock ever seen. However I dislike Americanised Tanto's. Have to be a spearpoint then...;)

Nice knives J.J.

I really like the looks of the COMBAT MODEL 3A and the TACTICAL COMPANION MODEL 1.

If you're still looking to sponsor a S.F. team, let me know :D

Thanks!

Dan

Strider Knives? Absolutely awesome. I have a Strider SA I bought off a fellow knife nut and a Strider MFS I got in a trade. I can't afford the (drool) GB folder yet, so I have my Buck Strider at my side until then.

Thanks! The Combat Model 3 is a personal favorite.

I'll have a new light wieght Urban Tactical 1 and 2 on the site in a week or so. The same blades, but without bolsters, and thiner canvas micarta to make them a little lighter, and flater. They'll also be cheaper. :D

As for equiping a SF team, I've only gotten 2 donations in 6 weeks. I might be sending thier money back. It hurts, but maybe after the artical in the next Tactical Knives comes out I'll be able to give a team some knives on my own.

Lots of good info - thanks all.

JungleJim, you've got ODA 164 out here at Ft Lewis all eager with anticipation :D - if nothing else, that was a great idea and showed a whole lot of heart.

You'll find me popping up around the various forums yelling about the Strider AD. It is small, very concealable anywhere in any kind of rig. And, in my opinion, it's Strider's greatest knife - the fundamental one that should be purchased before you take your place in line for an AR folder. Strider Knives are as tough as they come.
